John Shannon

The death has occurred of John Shannon, Hollywood, Ballinode, Co. Monaghan and formerly of Clonosey, Belturbet, Co. Cavan. Tuesday 16th February, peacefully at his home in the loving care of his heartbroken family. Predeceased by his beloved wife Brigid (nee McKenna – Larry), son-in-law Stephen and his brothers and sisters. 

Sadly missed by his son Joe, daughter in law Louise, daughter Therese and her fiancé Gordon. Lovingly remembered by his grandchildren, Jack, Iain, Leah, Shannon, Ethan, Sarah and Lucas.

May he Rest In Peace.

John’s remains will leave his residence at 10.30 on Thursday morning to arrive at St. Mary’s Church, Urbleshanney for 11am funeral mass. Burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery. Funeral mass will be streamed live on 'Tydavnet Parish RC Churches' Facebook page. Family flowers only please.

Due to current restrictions, John's house, funeral Mass & burial will be private to family only. Anyone wishing to pay their respects to John may do so as his funeral cortège travels from the family home to St.Mary’s Urbleshanney.
