John Shasby

John Shasby (formerly of St.Joseph’s Road, Kilkenny City) peacefully after a long illness surrounded by his devoted family, in the excellent care of all the staff in St. Luke’s Hospital, Kilkenny on 24th January 2026. Predeceased by his parents Jack and Bridie, his sisters Anne, Margaret and brother Patrick. John will be deeply missed by his sisters and brothers, Teresa, Marie, Martin and Gerard, sister-in-law Caroline, nieces, nephews, extended family, neighbours and friends.

MAY JOHN REST IN PEACE

Reposing in Shasby’s Funeral Home, Kilkenny City on Monday 26th January from 5pm with rosary at 7pm followed by removal to St. Canice’s Church for Reception Prayers at 7.45pm. Requiem Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday (27th) at 10.30am in St.Canices Church followed by burial in St. Kieran’s Cemetery.
