John Sweeney,

passed away peacefully, in the Mater Private Hospital Cork

on June 3rd 2024 surrounded by his loving family.

Father of the late baby Michael John and brother of the late Pat.

John was a beloved husband to Elaine (nee Burke) and a loving father to Michelle and Seán.

He is sadly missed by his family, brother David,sisters Mary O' Sullivan and Eileen Cogan, his adored grandchildren Eoghan and Harry, son-in law Dwane Shelton, daughter-in-law Edel Fenton, sisters-in-law Ann and Margaret Sweeney, brothers-in law Tom O' Sullivan, John and Colm Burke, nephews, nieces, extended family, relatives, neighbours and his many friends.

Reposing at his residence , Pouleigh, Shanballymore, Co. Cork P51C864 on Wednesday evening, June 5th 2024, from 4pm to 8pm followed by prayers.

Reception into Christ the King Church, Shanballymore for Requiem Mass at 12noon on Thursday, June 6th.

Burial immediately afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.
