The death has occurred of
John Sweeney
John Sweeney (Ballyfermot, Dublin 10 and late of Hendrick Street, Dublin 7) passed away peacefully on 18th May 2025 in the wonderful care of the staff at Hazel Ward, Cherry Orchard Hospital. Beloved husband of the late Lilly and brother of the late Gerry and Albert. He will be sadly missed by his loving son and daughters Mary, Patrick, Rita, Therese, Ann and Pauline, daughter-in-law Carmel, sons-in-law James, Murty, Noel and Paul, grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, extended family, neighbours and friends.
Reposing at his home on Tuesday evening from 5pm to 7pm. John’s funeral Mass will take place on Wednesday morning at 11.30am in St. Matthew’s Church, Ballyfermot with burial after at Newlands Cross Cemetery.
Family flowers only please. Donation in lieu, if desired, to Hazel Unit, Cherry Orchard Hospital (there will be a donation box at the Church).
