Formerly Carlanstown. Peacefully, surrounded by his family at his home. Pre-deceased by his son Malachy. John will be very sadly missed by his loving wife Marion, son Gerry, daughter Colette, grandchildren Marie, Aisling, Katie, Lisa, Jacqueline and Joseph, daughter-in-law Sheila, son-in-law Sean, brother Patsy (Dublin), sister Jean Smith (Kells), nieces, nephews, relatives and a large circle of friends.

Leaving his residence on Thursday morning at 10:30 am to arrive at St. John the Baptist Church, Kilberry for Funeral Mass at 11 am which can be viewed on https://www.youtube.com/user/Finnegandvd. Burial afterwards in Kilberry Cemetery.

In compliance with the current HSE guidelines, a private Funeral Mass will take place for family, limited to 10 people. Please ensure social distancing and Public Health advice is adhered to.
