John Thornton
John Thornton, Kilbaha, Moyvane, Co. Kerry. Peacefully, on January 26th, 2026, at University Hospital Limerick, surrounded by his loving family. Pre-deceased by his parents Francis and Bridget and his brothers Myles, Mike and Francis. John will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his wife Cecilia (Celia), son Francis, daughter-in-law Theresa, foster children John and Anne, brother Patrick, sisters Mary and Joan, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, grandnephews, grandnieces, goddaughters, cousins, extended family, neighbours and friends.

Reposing at Lyons Funeral Home, Derry, Listowel on Friday evening (January 30th) from 5.00pm to 7.00pm. Funeral arriving to The Church of the Assumption, Moyvane on Saturday morning at 11.45am, with the Requiem Mass for John being celebrated at 12 noon, live-streamed on www.churchmedia.tv/moyvane, followed by burial afterwards in Ahavoher Cemetery, Moyvane.
