John (Uncle) Murphy

Late of Dock Road, Dunmore East, Co. Waterford

Died peacefully on January 24th, 2026, with all his siblings, nieces and nephews around him, in the care of the ICU Department in University Hospital Waterford following a short illness.

 

Pre-deceased by his parents Joseph and Doreen, his adored nephews Niall and Brian, his sisters-in-law Caroline and Sylvie and his brother-in-law Brendan.

 

Sadly missed by his loving and loyal siblings Nicko, Joefy, Avril and Anne and his brother-in-law Tim.

 

An uncle in a million to his nieces and nephews Alain, David, Nathalie, Brendan, Paul, Emma, Stephanie, Lee, David, Aoife, Fiona, Eimear, Sinead, Nini, and Fionnula who will miss him dearly.

Missed by all his grandnieces and grandnephews,

Reposing in Tom Hennessy’s Funeral Home, Johnstown, (X91 FW4A)

on Wednesday January 28th 2026 from 5pm to 7pm.

Requiem Mass on Thursday January 29th at 11am.

in Holy Cross Church, Killea, Dunmore East.

Followed by Cremation in the Island Crematorium, Ringaskiddy.
