John Walker

Barnagh East, Clogher, Belmullet, Mayo

John Walker (better known as Johnny), Barnagh East, Clogher, Belmullet, Co. Mayo and formerly a resident of the Tí Aire Nursing Home, Belmullet, peacefully at the Mayo Hospice, Castlebar on 18th February 2024.

 

Predeceased by his wife Mai Walker (née Nash) and his parents Tom and Mary Walker.

 

Beloved father of Josephine McAndrew (Dooveila, Belmullet), Christina Carolan (Coolturk, Crossmolina), Breege Salmon (Dungarvan, Co. Waterford), Julie Walker (Castlebar), Patrick Walker (Tarmon, Blacksod), Tommy Walker (Aughleam) and John Walker (Tallagh Hill, Belmullet). He will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by his heartbroken family, cherished grandchildren and great grandchildren, sons in law, daughters in law, sisters Julia Cowman (Crossmolina) and Mary Edwards (Barnagh East, Clogher, Belmullet), brother in law George Nash (Elly, Clogher, Belmullet), nieces, nephews, relatives, kind neighbours and many friends.

 

May His Kind and Gentle Soul Rest in Peace.

 

Remains reposing at McDonnell’s Funeral Home, Belmullet on Tuesday evening from 5 O’Clock until 8 O’Clock. Funeral arriving at St. Joseph’s Church, Binghamstown on Wednesday for Funeral Mass at 12 noon followed by burial in Cross Cemetery.

 

Live streaming of the Funeral Mass will be available for viewing on McDonnells Funeral Directors Facebook page on Wednesday at 12 noon with all other funeral services available for viewing at 8 O’Clock on Wednesday evening.
