John Waterson

Peacefully at his home in the company of his loving family. Beloved husband of Rose and dearly loved father of Anne Colette and John Paul. Sadly missed by his sister Valerie, relatives and friends.

A private funeral has taken place for John as was his wish. The family request privacy at this time, house private please.

John's family wish to acknowledge and thank those involved in his care over the past year: the staff on Carrig Ward, UHK and the Kenmare Nursing Unit, the thoughtful and kind-hearted home-help team - Mary, Maura, Helen, Norma and Helena, his GP, Dr Ann Cronin - who kept John going and kept John with us far longer than he could have hoped for, Killorglin's fantastic community nurses, Elaine, Helen and Ita, the South Kerry Palliative Homecare Team, who perform their vital work with exceptional coordination, skill and compassion and Michelle, the night nurse who was there with us at the critical moment and who ensured John's passage went smoothly and peacefully.
