The death has occurred of
John Whelan
WHELAN, John (Blackrock, Co. Dublin and formerly Convent Road, Dun Laoghaire) 1st March 2026. Peacefully, in the care of the staff at St. Vincent’s University Hospital. Beloved husband of Mary and devoted father of Alexandra, John, Marie, Paul and Robert. He will be sadly missed by his wife, daughters, sons, daughter-in law Isabel, son-in-law Neil, grandchildren Graham, Artie, Jennifer, Lydia, Alison, Ben and Darragh, great-granddaughter Amelia, brother Noel, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
May he rest in peace.
Reposing on Tuesday (March 3rd) from 3.30pm to 5.30pm in Fanagans Carnegies Funeral Home, Monkstown (A94 XK28). Funeral on Wednesday (March 4th) arriving at the Church of the Guardian Angels, Newtownpark Avenue, Blackrock at 9.40am for Reception Prayers and Words of Remembrance ahead of the Funeral Mass at 10am. This will be followed by burial in Deansgrange Cemetery.
