John Whelan

Whelan, John, 10th March 2025 (Rossfield Grove, Tallaght) (peacefully), surrounded by his loving family, in the wonderful care of the staff of Tallaght Hospital; beloved husband of the late Christina, much loved dad of Joseph, Michael, Alan and Miriam, adored grandad of Alannah, Lauren, Roisín, Holly, Jasmine, Kayla, Sophia, Steven, Christopher and Aidan, loving brother of Valerie and the late Laurence and Raymond and cherished son of the late Mary and Laurence. John will be forever loved and very sadly missed by his loving sons, daughter, grandchildren, sister, daughters-in-law Maria and Donna, Miriam’s partner Jason, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Reposing at the Brian McElroy Funeral Home, The Square, Tallaght (opp Tallaght Stadium) on Wednesday from 3pm to 5pm. Funeral Mass will take place on Thursday at 10am in St Aidan’s Church, Brookfield and afterwards for burial in Deansgrange Cemetery.

Those who cannot attend the Funeral, please feel free to leave a message in the condolence book below.
