The death has occurred of
John Whiston
John Whiston of Blacklion, Greystones, Co. Wicklow. January 6th 2026 peacefully after a short illness at St. Michael’s Hospital Dun Laoghaire, surrounded by his family in his 91st year.
Pre-deceased by his beloved parents John and Mary Whiston (née Dawson), brother James and twin sisters Pat and Joan. Remembered with love by his sister-in-law Stephanie, his three much loved and loving nieces Barbara, Anna and Emily, their husbands Greg, Ian and Adrian, his cherished grand nephews and nieces John, James, Anya, Jennifer and Robert, wonderful neighbours past and present especially Jean, Johann and Catherine.
The funeral cortège will walk from John’s home on Friday Morning January 9th at 11.15am arriving at St. Kilian's Church, Blacklion for funeral Mass to Celebrate John’s life at 11.30am, after which John will be laid to rest in Redford Cemetery, Blacklion, Greystones.
