Johnny died peacefully at home in the gentle care of his family on Sunday evening, April 24th 2022, in his 95th year. He was  predeceased by his parents John and Katie (Corr Hill), brothers Martin, Paddy and Joe, sisters Mary, Kathleen, Annie Mary and Sr.Eithne, grandchildren Grace and Jude and niece Eithne.

Johnny was a much loved husband, brother, father, grandfather, neighbour and friend and he will be greatly missed by all who knew him, especially his wife of 64 years, Teresa and his brother Jimmy (Ferbane), his sons and daughters and their families, Lioyd and Claire, James and Martina, John and Roisin, Ian and Cathy (France), Caroline and Billy (Cork) and his precious and much loved grandchildren Shanna and Adam, Jonathan and Laura, Cian, Conal, Kyle and Katie, and Rory, Lucy and Séan, his sisters-in-law Agnes (Ferbane), Mary (Corr) and Mary (Cloghan), Teresa's sister Chris O'Sullivan (Athlone) and brother Kieran and his wife Connie Hanniffy (Doon) along with fond nephews, nieces, neighbours, customers and friends.

Johnny will repose at home on Tuesday afternoon (April 26th) from 4pm to 8pm. Removal on Wednesday afternoon (April 27th) to St. Brigid's Church, Clara for Requiem Mass at 2.30pm, which may be viewed on https://youtu.be/0Q_f_g1ntcs. Burial afterwards in the Monastery Cemetery, Clara.
