The death has occurred of Johnny Heron
Killiney, Dublin

We are sad to announce the death of Johnny Heron, the dearly loved husband of Emer Brady, father of Hilary (Jenkinson) and Paddy, father-in-law of Tim and Salla. He was a much-loved and admired grandfather to Saoirse, Cian, Dary, Emilia, Conor and Joshua.

 

Johnny lived life to the full. In addition to setting up and running his own successful fibreglass manufacturing business, he partook in many adventurous hobbies over his lifetime including: hang-gliding; long-distance hillwalking throughout Europe’s major mountain ranges; and sailing around the world; and was an active member of Monkstown Lawn Tennis Club. He was an accomplished artist, cook, raconteur and passionate environmentalist.

 

He will be greatly missed by his wife, family and many friends.

Johnny died on Friday, 6th January, 2023. As a family we are very grateful for the kindness and care he received in St Vincent’s Hospital.

 

Reposing at Colliers Funeral Home, Old Connaught Avenue, Bray on Sunday (Jan.15) from 5.00pm to 7.00pm. A Ceremony to Celebrate Johnny's Life will take place on Monday (Jan.16) at 3.00pm in The Carlisle Suite at the Royal Marine Hotel, Dun Laoghaire, A96 K063.
