Jones F. Ferriss

The death has occurred of Jones F. Ferriss, Cregg, Oughterard, Co. Galway, and formerly Main St. Oughterard.
Jones passed away peacefully in the care of his loving family following a short illness bravely borne on July 16th, 2025.

 

Predeceased by his parents Ellen and Jones, sisters Sheila, Joan and Nettie, and brothers Johnny, Bob and Michael.

Sadly missed by his devoted wife Peg, sons Jones and Eoghan, daughter Sheila, daughter-in-law Loretta and beloved grandchildren Shane, Leanna and Aaron. Fondly remembered by his sisters Eileen and Doreen, brothers-in-law Tony, John, Dedo, sister in law Judy, nieces, nephews, all extended family, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Reposing at Walsh’s Funeral Home, Oughterard (H91 EV52), on Friday July 18th, from 5.00 until 6.30pm. Arriving for Requiem Mass at 11.30am to the Church of Immaculate Conception, Oughterard on Saturday 19th July, 2025.
Burial afterwards in Kilcummin Cemetery, Oughterard.

Donations in memory of Jones to Galway Hospice in acknowledgement of their support and care.
