The death has occurred of
Joseph Gerald Finnegan
Joseph Gerald Finnegan, late of Bray Co. Wicklow, former President of the High Court and Judge of the Supreme Court, died on 16th December, 2023, peacefully, after a short illness, borne with characteristic good humour, surrounded by his loving family. Beloved husband of Kay, loving father of Gerald, Yvonne, Hazel and Charlotte, adored grandfather of Joe, Ally, Charlotte, Rosamund and William. Sadly missed by his sister Marie Bailey, daughter-in-law Alma, sons-in-law Barney and Paul and Charlotte’s partner Eoin, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
The family would like to acknowledge the care and support received from
the staff of the 5 and 6 North Wards at the Beacon Hospital.
Reposing at Colliers Funeral Home, Old Connaught Avenue, Bray, on Friday (22nd December) from 5.00pm-7.00pm. Funeral Mass on Saturday (23rd December) at 10.00am in the Church of the Most Holy Redeemer, Main Street, Bray, followed by burial in Kilternan Cemetery Park, Ballycorus Road. Family flowers only, please. Donations, if desired, to Cancer Trials Ireland or Mara Elephant Project.
