It is with deep sadness we announce the death of Joseph Meade late of Dillon's Cross, Cork, who passed away on the 28th of December 2025, peacefully after a short illness bravely borne surrounded by his family, in the wonderful and exceptional care of the staff at the Cork University Hospital.

Joseph (Jody) Late of Irish Steel. Beloved husband of Betty (née Lillis) and loving father of Brendan. Jody will be sadly missed by extended family, neighbours and a large circle of friends in Mayfield Men's shed.

Reposing at Keohane’s Funeral Home, Knights Hill, Old Youghal Road, Mayfield, Cork, on Tuesday, the 30th of December, from 5-6pm, with prayers at 5:45pm. Requiem Mass on Wednesday (New Years Eve), the 31st of December at 4pm in The Holy Family Church, Military Hill. Followed by cremation at The Island Crematorium, Ringaskiddy
