Joseph (Joe) Hanley

(Formerly Claregalway). On the 24th  November, 2021 Joe passed away peacefully in the wonderful care of the doctors and nurses at U.H.G with his family by his side.  Predeceased by his Dad Martin, mother Maria, sisters Nancy and Kitty, brothers Micheál, Mansie and Seán. Deeply mourned and sadly missed by his beloved wife Frances,  much loved children Garrett, Kara, Joseph, Ross and Adrian, adored grandchildren John, Christian and Isabella Shortt, Nathan and Ryan, Sadie, Lucy, Emily and Sophie, dearly loved sister Bridge, son-in-law Frank, daughters-in-law Sinéad, Louise, Laura and Alison,  extended family, neighbours,  Abec colleagues and many friends.

Reposing for family and friends at the O’Flaherty Funeral Parlour, Munster Avenue,  Sunday, 28th November, from 5.30 p.m. to 7 p.m.  Requiem Mass at 11 a.m. Monday, 29th November, at The Church of St. John the Apostle, Knocknacarra. Funeral after Mass to Rahoon Cemetery.

Joe’s family are very mindful of spreading Covid-19.  If attending the funeral parlour and Church please continue to maintain social distancing, wear a mask and avoid shaking hands.  A “Walk-Through” system is in place at the funeral parlour.   No flowers please.  Donations, if desired, to Cancer Care West https://www.cancercarewest.ie/donate/
