Joseph Mahony

Joseph Mahony - Master Carpenter, husband of the late Julia Mahony (née Lamb), father of his only daughter Emily, resident of Buxton, Maine, USA, and formerly resident of Sidmonton Road, Bray, Co. Wicklow, has sadly passed away while sleeping at his home on the 14th December 2023.

It is with great sadness that we inform you of the untimely passing of our son, Joe. He died peacefully in his sleep after a years-long battle with illnesses that have required many surgeries to help address. That said, he would never feel sorry for himself over it and would not hear of you feeling sorry for him either. We wish to thank the many doctors, surgeons, GPs and nurses who helped him throughout this time, and his great friends and neighbours who supported him also.

Joe will be sadly missed by his daughter Emily, parents Lilian and Tony, his sisters Annette and Laura, brothers David, Peter and James, his brother-in-law and sisters-in-law, all his extended family, neighbours and friends near and far.

A cremation will be taking place in the coming days followed by a Memorial Service (date and time TBC). The family hope to be able to arrange a live link to the service in due course.
