Joseph Torsney

The death has occurred of Joseph (Jody) Torsney, Renua House, Tubbercurry and formerly of Gortnadrass, Lavagh, Ballymote, Co. Sligo. 20th August 2025. Peacefully after a short illness surrounded by his loving family in the wonderful care of the doctors, nurses and careers at Sligo University Hospital and the North West Hospice.

 

Predeceased by his beloved mother Bridget.

 

He will be sadly missed by the staff and residents of Renua House, family and friends.

Joseph will repose at the Knocknashee Community Hub, Lavagh (F56W744) on Thursday 21st August from 6pm to 7:30pm, followed by removal to the Church of the Sacred Heart, Mullinabreena (F56 C864) for prayers at 8pm.

 

Joseph’s funeral mass will take place at 12 noon on Friday 22nd August, with burial afterwards in Court Abbey Cemetery.
