The death has occurred of Josephine Coughlan (née Reddy) of “Árd na gCloch”, Corcullen, Galway.

Peacefully after a short illness in the care of An Teaghlach Uilinn, Moycullen, on Friday 26th December 2025

Pre-deceased by her parents Eileen and Joseph Reddy, and sister Dr. Eileen Caulfield (Sligo).

Sadly missed by her loving husband Dr. Breandán Ó Cochláin (Emeritus Professor, NUI Galway), and remembered with love by her heartbroken children: daughter Seosaimhín Ní Ríada, sons Dr. Brendan Ó Cochláin (Galway Clinic), Dr. Ciarán Ó Cochlain PhD (Cantab/USA), Dr. Fearghas Ó Cochláin (Mayo Clinic USA), her brother Mike Reddy, sister-in-law Pat Reddy and brother-in-law Dr. Breandán MacConamhna, grandchildren Liadáin, Fiachra, Clíona, Aífe, Lasair, Fionnúir, and Ailill, daughters-in-law Maria and Val, son-in-law Tim, nephews and nieces, and extended family.

May her dear soul rest in the peace of Christ and rise in glory with Him.

Reposing at Aiseiri Funeral Home (H91 Y54A), Moycullen, on Tuesday, 30th December, 2025 from 5.00 pm, with Removal at 6.30 pm to St. James's Church, Bushypark (H91 A5V2).

Requiem Mass will be celebrated for Josephine at 11am, Wednesday 31st December 2025.

Burial will follow immediately afterwards in the adjoining Cemetery.
