Josephine Feeney
(née Gleeson)

Peacefully on Tuesday 3rd December 2024, following a brief illness borne with great fortitude and courage, of Josephine (Jo) Feeney of Retreat Park, Athlone, Co. Westmeath formerly Josephine Gleeson, Cloughjordan, Co. Tipperary.

Predeceased by her parents Molly (died 3 December 1999) and Jimmy Gleeson (died 2 December 1982).

Jo is deeply missed by her heartbroken husband John (ex Dept of Education), and children Nikki (Brady), Shantemon, Cavan; Andrea, Coosan, Athlone; John Jnr, Blackrock, Co, Dublin; Ray, Dromaconn, Athlone and by her sons-in-law Brian Brady and Paul Kelly and her daughters-in-law Louise Feeney and Suzanne Feeney. Also missed by other relatives, neighbours and friends and ex Grovelands Childcare colleagues.

Wonderful grandmother to Holly, Evan and Adam Brady (Cavan); James, Isabelle, Sophia and Amelia Feeney (Blackrock); Nathan and Alex Kelly (Coosan, Athlone); and Iseult, Raonaid, and Feidhlim Feeney (Dromaconn, Athlone) by whom she is sorely missed.

May Jo rest in perfect peace.

Reposing at Flynn's Funeral Home, The Strand on Thursday evening from 6pm until 8pm. Requiem Mass in Our Lady Queen of Peace Church, Coosan on Friday at 12 noon followed by burial afterwards in Coosan Cemetery.
