Josephine (Josie) Dowd (nee Malone), Bridge Street, Cootehill and formally Cornabeagh, Kill, Co. Cavan April 16th 2026 peacefully in her 95th year, surrounded by her loving family in the loving care of Virginia Community Care, Illankirka Ward.

Beloved wife of the late Jimmy and much loved mother of Audrey, Eamonn (Ursula), Tina (Chris), Betty (Kevin), and Conor (Sarah). Sadly missed by her grandchildren Niamh, Karla, Eoin, Orla, Aaron, James, Ciara and Finn, great grandchildren Ailbhe, Lottie and Éala, relatives and a large circle of friends.

May Her Gentle Soul Rest In Peace

Reposing at Mullen’s Funeral Home Cootehill (H16 FD25), this Friday evening from 4pm to 7pm. Removal leaving her home on Saturday morning at 10.30am to arrive at St. Michael’s Church, Cootehill for 11 o’clock funeral mass, followed by burial in St. Brigid’s cemetery, kill (H16 V520).
