Josie passed away, peacefully, in the exceptional care of all of the wonderful staff at Dunlavin Nursing Home. 11th April 2026. Predeceased by her husband Jim and sisters Mai and Madge.

Much loved sister of Anne (Hendrick) and mother of Paul, Bernard and Fiona. Sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her family including daughter-in-law Máirín, her adoring and adored grandsons, Eoin, Ben, Oscar and Luke, her nieces, nephews and extended family. Josie will be hugely missed by her wide circle of friends, her fellow hill walking adventurers and her wonderful local community who showed her such kindness and care over the past few years.

Reposing at Clarke’s Funeral Home, Blessington (W91 YN79) on Tuesday, 14th April, from 5:00 pm with prayers at 7:00 pm. Josie’s Funeral Mass will take place at the St. Nicholas of Myra Church in Dunlavin at 11:00 am on Wednesday, 15th April, with burial afterwards in Dunlavin Cemetery.
