The death has occurred of Josephine (Josie) Swann, Willow Park, Athlone, Co. Westmeath and formerly Carlow Town, Co. Carlow. Passed away peacefully on the 31st December 2023 at The Retreat Nursing Home, Athlone. Predeceased by her mother Mary and father Daniel, sisters Anne and Evelyn and brother Daniel. Sadly missed by her sister-in-law Betty, nieces, nephews, extended family, neighbours, friends and work colleagues in The ESB Athlone.

Reposing at her niece, Nicola Delaney's home, 2 Rossvale, Portlaoise from 6pm on Wednesday (3rd Jan) with Recital of the Rosary at 8pm. Removal from her niece's home on Thursday morning at approx 11.20am to arrive at the Sacred Heart Church, Stradbally for Requiem Mass at 12 noon followed by Private Cremation for family only at Newlands Cross Crematorium.
Funeral Mass for Josie will be streamed via the Stradbally Parish Webcam (www.svtparish.ie/webcam)
House Private for family please.
