Josephine Mullins (née Gough), 19 Conway Park, Bagenalstown, Co. Carlow, passed away peacefully on 21st February 2026, in her 84th year, surrounded by her loving family, in the kind care of the staff of St. Luke’s Hospital, Kilkenny. Beloved wife of the late Michael Mullins. Predeceased by her parents James and Mary Gough and her brothers and sisters. Much loved mother of Jimmy, Mark, Brendan and Melanie. Josephine will be sadly missed by her daughter, sons, daughters-in-law Elizabeth, Anita, Sandra and Melanie’s partner Jim, her adored grandchildren Lisa, Garry, Shane, Tom, Méabh, Clare, Áine, Orlaith, Aoife, Michael and Conor, nephews, nieces, relatives, great neighbours and wide circle of friends.

Reposing at Cushen’s Funeral Home, Kilcarrig Street, Bagenalstown (R21 V127) on Monday, 23rd February, from 2pm until 8pm. Requiem Mass will be held at St. Andrew’s Church, Bagenalstown on Tuesday, 24th February at 11am. Funeral Mass will be followed by burial in the Cemetery of the Assumption, Bagenalstown.

The Mullins Family would like to sincerely thank the staff of Beechwood Nursing Home, Leighlinbridge and the staff of St. Lazerian’s House, Bagenalstown for the kind care and support that Josephine received during her time spent there.
