Josephine (Nora) Leavy

Formerly of Aghloragh, Tuam, Co.Galway. Peacefully at her home on Tuesday, March 4th after a long illness bravely borne. Pre-deceased by her husband Edward; parents Mary and Thomas; sister Teresa; brothers Peter, James (infant), Sean and Christy. Josephine is survived by her loving children Mary (Lenehan), Patricia, Philip, James, John and Anne (McKiernan). Sons-in-law Tom and Aidan; Daughter-in-law Sharon; Patricia’s partner Pat, and John’s partner Caroline. Beloved grandchildren Conor, Shane, Shauna, Edward, Darren, Fíonn, Saoírse and Fíadh; Sisters-in-law Mary Gillespie and Angela Martyn; nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Reposing at Smith’s Funeral Home, Barrack St. Granard (N39AX97) on Thursday March 6th from 4pm-6pm with removal to St. Bernard’s Church, Abbeylara arriving for 7pm. Funeral mass on Friday March 7th at 12 noon followed by Christian burial in the adjoining cemetery.
