Josephine O'Donovan
(née Shannon)
O’DONOVAN (Lackenagobidane, Clonakilty): on April 7th 2024, peacefully in the presence of her family at her home. JOSEPHINE (nee Shannon, Muckruss House) beloved wife of the late John (Jack Darby) much loved mother of Mary (O’Mahony), Susan (McCarthy), Josephine (Jackson), Gretta, Eileen, Ursula (Hennessy), Jerry, Teresa (Crowley), John and Michael, sister of the late Jim and Violet. Sadly missed by her loving family, sons -in-law Padraig, Michael, Malcom, Will, Patrick and Brendan, daughters-in-law Ann Marie and Jacinta, 29 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren, sisters-in-law Betty (Shannon) and Mary (O’Donovan, Dunmore), nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.
Reception into Kilgarriffe Church of Ireland, Clonakilty, on Tuesday, April 9th 2024, at 11.30am followed by Funeral Service at 2pm. This will be livestreamed here.
At Josephine’s own request her body will be donated to medical science for research. Interment will take place at a later date.
