Josie Kenny

Josie passed away peacefully on Wednesday the 18th of February in the wonderful care of both St. Brendan's Community Nursing Unit, Loughrea and St. Francis Ward, Portiuncula Hospital, surrounded by his loving family.

 

Josie is predeceased by his beloved wife Nancy, his daughter Jacqueline, his son-in-law Brendan, his sister Mary and his brother Noel.

 

Josie will be forever missed by his children Annette Mellotte (Dublin), Tom (Downpatrick), Elizabeth McGuinness (Celbridge) Sharon Madden (Turloughmore) and Conor (Celbridge), sons-in-law Roddy, Joe and Declan, daughters-in-law Marie and Imelda, his adored grandchildren and great-grandchildren, brothers Seamus and Tony, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and friends.

 

May His Gentle Soul Rest In Peace.

 

Josie will repose in Grenham's Funeral Home, Ballinasloe (H53 HK15), on Friday, the 20th of February, from 5pm to 7pm. Private removal on Saturday morning to St. Michael’s Church, Ballinasloe (H53 CV05) for Requiem Mass at 11am, followed by burial in Creagh Cemetery.

The family would like to thank the palliative care team and staff of Portiuncula Hospital. A special thanks to the staff of St Brendan’s CNU Loughrea for the exceptional care they provided to Josie. The family are forever grateful.
