Joyce DARCY
(née Kearns)

Saggart, Dublin / Ballinteer, Dublin

DARCY, Joyce (née Kearns) late of Saggart and formerly of Ballinteer, passed away peacefully after a long illness, on the 2nd of January 2026, surrounded by her close family, in the wonderful care of the staff on St. Peter’s Ward, Beaumont Hospital. Beloved wife of Tony, loving Mum to Emily, cherished daughter of Carmel and the late Jack and much-loved sister of Olive; Joyce will be sadly missed by her heartbroken husband, daughter, mother, sister, mother-in-law Anne, father-in-law Aiden, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, aunties, cousins, nieces, nephews, and all extended family, neighbours and wide circle of friends, including her colleagues and friends from the South Dublin County Council.

 

The family would like to offer a sincere thank you to the Hermitage Oncology Team for their dedication and kindness given to Joyce and her family over the past nine years.

Joyce will be reposing at the Larry Massey Funeral Home, Eden Centre, Grange Road, Rathfarnham, on Thursday evening (January 8th) from 5pm to 7pm. Removal on Friday morning to the Church of St. John the Evangelist, Ballinteer, arriving for 10am Mass, followed by a Cremation Service at 12.15pm in the Victorian Chapel, Mt. Jerome Crematorium, Harold’s Cross. All enquiries to Larry Massey Funeral Directors, Rathfarnham, on (01)406-1000.
