Julia McDERMOTT

JULIA McDERMOTT Golf Links Road, Roscommon Town and formerly of Cloonartbeg, Tulsk, Co Roscommon passed away peacefully in her 97th year on April 17th, 2026, in the tender care of all the staff at Oakwood Nursing Home, Roscommon and previously in her own home with her wonderful team of carers. Julia is predeceased by her parents William and Annie, brother Peter, sisters Mary (Connaughton), Lena and Nancy and her beloved nephew Billy.

Julia will be fondly remembered by her nephews Michael and Eddie, nieces-in-law Anne, Paula and Anne and their families, relatives, friends and her many good neighbours.

Reposing at Smyth’s Funeral Home, Roscommon (F42 NH27) on Sunday from 4 o’c until 5.30 o’c followed by removal to the Sacred Heart Church, Roscommon. Mass of the Resurrection on Monday at 11 o’c. Burial afterwards in St Coman’s Cemetery.
