Julie O’Connor
(née Sullivan Rue)
O’CONNOR, née Sullivan Rue, Allihies, Beara, Co.Cork on Sunday 6th of July 2025 in CUH ICU after a short illness, surrounded by her family, JULIE. Devoted wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, sister-in-law and aunt. Predeceased by her infant son Daragh Séan and her brothers Declan and Gareth. Sadly missed by her husband John, children Tadhg, Alannah, Saoirse and Tairdelbach, grandson Riley, mother Nonie, sister Ursula, nieces Hannah and Caragh, nephew Cody, aunts, cousins, neighbours and friends.
Reposing in Harringtons Funeral Home, Castletownbere on Wednesday (9th July) from 5pm to 7pm followed by removal to Julie’s mother’s house in Caminches.
HOUSE PRIVATE.
Requiem mass will take place in St.Michael’s Church in Cahermore at 12 midday on Thursday (10th July) followed by burial in the local cemetery. Funeral cortège will leave Julie’s mothers home at approximately 11.15am.
Special thanks to the ICU team in CUH and Bantry Hospital HDU for the care and dedication shown to Julie and all the family.
