Jurgen Besemer

Jürgen, a man who never stopped smiling and having a laugh, passed away unexpectedly, yet peacefully, in his own home in Killinick, Co. Wexford, on the 15th of June 2023. Loving husband and soulmate to Deirdre, ever-devoted father to his only daughter Fai, loved brother to his sister Heiderose, and constant support to his extended family. Of course he was also a much loved and lifelong friend to many.

Jürgen lived his life to the fullest, as if each day was his last, enjoying every minute, moment and second. With an outgoing nature, after travelling for nearly 20 years, he moved from small town Reudern in Germany, to little old Hilltown, the place where he would then make and call home. 

Whatever the weather, he loved walking his dogs by Tacumshane lake, working in the garden, but above all being there for his friends and family. He was inspiration to the most of us, and will be dearly missed.

May he sleep in peace.

Reposing in his residence on Thursday the 22nd from 7pm until 9pm. Funeral Mass in St. Mary's Church, Ballymore, on Friday the 23rd  at 2pm. 

Cremation will take place privately.
