The death has occurred peacefully of Karen Higgins, nèe McGowan, of No 2 Church View, Barnastang, Glenisland, Castlebar, Co Mayo, on February 23rd 2026 at the Mayo Roscommon Hospice,surrounded by her loving family.
Predeceased by her parents Thomas & Mary McGowan.
Deeply regretted by her loving husband, Eamon and by her adored children, Chloe, Tamsyn, Darragh, Emily & Aoife, her sister Ciara, brothers in law Damian & John, sisters in law Carmel & Connie, parents in law Jack & Eileen.
May Karen's gentle soul rest in peace.
Reposing at her residence in Glenisland, Eircode (F23T864) on Thursday evening from 5 pm until 7 pm.
House strictly private at all other times.
Removal from her residence on Friday morning for Requiem Mass at 11 am in the church of the Holy Rosary, Glenisland, followed by cremation in Shannon Crematorium.
