Karen Young O'Mahoney

With deep sadness we announce the passing of Karen. Karen is pre-deceased by her father and mother, Edward and Mary Young and her sister Alison. Karen passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family and in the compassionate care of the dedicated staff of St. Vincent's University Hospital. Beloved wife and soul mate of her best friend Johnny. Cherished mother of Rosie and Amie. Karen will be very sadly missed by her extended Young and O'Mahoney families. Much loved sister and lifelong friend of Anne, Teresa and Julie. A devoted and loving aunt to her nieces Carina, Órla, Fi, Rachel, Áine, Katie, Lucy, Jodie, Heidi, Síofra, Liath and Eimear and nephews Chris, Darren, Evian, Dion, Finn and Lennon. Deeply regretted by her sisters-in-law, Siobhán, Celine, Áine, Eileen, brothers-in-law Gerry, Denis, Joe, Pat, Brian, Kieran and Jimi and Rosie's partner Conor.

A treasured friend to all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Karen will be remembered for her joy in life, her laughter, her strength, kindness and unwavering love and support to all at the centre of her life. Her gentle spirit and caring nature touched the hearts of everyone she met.

May her kind and gentle soul rest in peace.

A special thanks to Kevin and Maeve for giving us extra time with Karen and to Tommy for the miracle he performed on our house renovations in time for Karen's home-coming.

Reposing at her residence on Wednesday 12th November from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Funeral Mass in St. Mary's Cathedral on Thursday 13th November at 11 a.m. Karen's cremation will take place on Friday at 2 p.m. in the Island Crematorium, Ringaskiddy, Co. Cork.
