Kate Coyle

On 25 August 2023, Kate passed away peacefully at Newtown Park Nursing Home, in the loving care of the nursing staff.

Kate was one of a kind. Nearly 97 years old, she was almost as old as Ireland. She was born in Dublin on 25th September 1926 into a very different country. Kate lived through Ireland’s history with its ups and downs, always extending kindness, humour and love to each new generation she met.

She will be dearly missed by her great friends Adeline and Anne, and the wider Farrelly, O’Byrne and O’Kelly families.

Kate will be lying in repose at Corrigans Funeral Home, 5 Lower Camden Street, Dublin 2, from 14.00pm to 16.00pm on Sunday, 27th August. Requiem Mass at the Church of the Assumption, Booterstown Parish, Booterstown Avenue, Co. Dublin at 11:00 am on Monday, 28th August. The mass will be livestreamed on https://www.churchservices.tv/booterstown followed by burial at Glasnevin cemetery.
