Katherine (Kay) Madden

MADDEN (Brooklodge, Glanmire, Co.Cork): On March 25th, 2026, unexpectedly, but peacefully surrounded by her loving family and in the tender care of the staff at the Cork University Hospital, KATHERINE (Kay), (late of The Hospital Saturday Fund), beloved daughter of the late Padraig and Constans O Maidin.

 

Lovingly remembered by her brothers Patrick and Joseph, sisters Constance (Martin), Gwendoline (Ryan), Orla (Murphy), Cliona (O’Sullivan), predeceased by sisters Niav Geraldine, Mairead (Brosnan) and brother-in-law Henry Ryan.

 

Sadly missed by her loving family, sister-in-law Anne, brothers-in-law Chris, Willie, Mike and Tim, nephews, nieces including her god children Gwendolyn and Ruth, grandnephews, grandnieces, cousins, relatives, neighbours and many friends.

 

Reposing at Barry Bros. Funeral Home, Hazelwood, Glanmire on Sunday (March 29th) from 4.00pm to 5.00pm.

 

Requiem Mass at 11.00am on Monday (March 30th) in St. Joseph’s Church, Springhill, Glanmire which can be viewed

Funeral afterwards to St. James’ Cemetery, Chetwynd.
