Kathleen Caffrey
(née Monaghan)

Catherine (Kathleen) Caffrey (née Monaghan), Sea Side, Belmullet, Co. Mayo, and formerly of Stonefield and England, passed away peacefully after a short illness, in the excellent care of the staff of Castlebar Hospital, surrounded by her loving family, on 15th January 2026.

 

A wonderful and faithful mother to Theresa, John, Chris, Kevin, Anna Marie, Maxine, Michael and Tommy.

 

Kathleen will be sadly missed by her heartbroken children and adored grandchildren: Keyleigh, Niamh, Kitty, Dearbhla, Ruby, Sarah, Sinéad, Ellie, Poppy, Labhaoise, Céline, Elsie, Tom, Jimmy and Dylan; daughters-in-law Daisy, Therese, Vanessa and Sandra; sons-in-law Jonathan and Mike; her sister Margaret, her brother Vincent, her sister-in-law and brothers-in-law, her nieces and nephews, neighbours, and her many dear friends.

 

Kathleen is predeceased by her beloved son Martin (recently deceased); her parents, Martin and Bridget Monaghan; her sisters Mary, Sarah (Sally) Flynn and Bridget Patton; and her brothers Paddy, Johnny, Martin, Micky and Tony.

 

 

May her kind and generous soul rest in peace.

 

 

Reposing at Healy’s Funeral Home Barnatra (F26 DY62) on Saturday afternoon 17th January, from 3pm to 4.30pm, arriving at The Church of The Immaculate Conception Carrowteige (F26 E2P4) at 5.30pm. Funeral Mass on Sunday afternoon 18th January, at 2pm with burial afterwards in Kilgalligan Cemetery.
