Kathleen Casey
(née Glynn)

St. Enda's Road, Shantalla, Galway / Newcastle, Galway

Kathleen passed away peacefully following a long illness, in the gentle care of the staff at Rosemount Nursing Home, Gort, Co. Galway. Predeceased by her parents Patrick and Annie, brothers Pauric, Michael and Joe, sister Maura and granddaughter Kate. Deeply mourned and she will be sadly missed by her loving children, Terry, Toni, Brian, Neil, Michele and their father Michael. Kathleen will be lovingly remembered also by her cherished grandchildren and great grandchildren, the extended Casey and Glynn family, neighbours and a wide circle of friends.

 

May her gentle soul rest in peace

 

Funeral arrangements:

Friday 27th March, 2026

Reposing at the O' Flaherty Funeral Parlour, Munster Avenue, Galway (H91 V1K8) from 5.00 p.m. to 6.30 p.m.

 

Saturday 28th March, 2026

Requiem Mass will be celebrated for Kathleen at St. Joseph's Church, Presentation Road on arrival at 11.00 a.m. Following Mass a Committal Service will take place at Shannon Crematorium at 2.00 p.m. Family flowers only please. Parking and entrance to the funeral parlour.

Please approach the funeral parlour entrance on foot from Fr. Burke Park. Street parking may be available on Fr. Griffin Road, within the Claddagh, on Henry Street and Sea Road. Road works continue within the city, with road diversions in place.

Car Parks within walking distance of the parlour: The Claddagh Church, Spanish Arch and Mill Street which is adjacent to the Garda Station.
