Kathleen Forrest
(née Kelly)

Kathleen passed away peacefully on August 8th 2025 surrounded by her family. She is late of Malvern and Leeds. Born in Clara to Bridgie and Christy Kelly she was the eldest of four and remained fiercely proud of her Irish roots throughout her long life in England.

At 21 she left Ireland for Harrogate later marrying her devoted husband of over 60 years William who is left heartbroken at her passing. Their life together took them to Singapore before settling in Pudsey, Leeds where they raised their daughters Marie and Kelly. For many years Kathleen worked at St. Joseph's School in Pudsey remembered warmly for her humour, creativity and strong spirit. She spent her last 20 years in Malvern where she made a much loved home.

Creative, stylish and full of character Kathleen had a lifelong love of sewing, gardening and family. She is deeply mourned by her husband William, her daughters Marie and Kelly, their husbands Lewis and Chris, adored grandchildren Finbar, Edie, Innie and Reuben, step granddaughter Kaisha, extended family and friends. She is also remembered with love by her sister Marie, brother-in-law John, her niece and nephew Sharon and Mark in Ireland.

Predeceased by her parents Bridgie and Christy, siblings Bridget and Johnny and her nephew Ian Woods of Kilcoursey who died suddenly on August 25th 2025.

A Mass for Kathleen and Ian will be held on Saturday November 29th 2025 at 10am in St. Brigid's Church Clara, Co. Offaly followed by prayers at both graves in the monastery cemetery Clara.
