Kathleen (Kath) McKenna (née McGowan) of Roundwood, Co. Wicklow and formerly of Charlestown, Co. Mayo. Passed away peacefully on 21st December 2025, after a long illness bravely borne, in the wonderful care of the staff at St. Colman’s Residential Care Centre, Rathdrum, who were exceptionally kind to Kath and her family. Predeceased by her husband Eugene, her sister Maureen and brother Tommy. Deeply missed by her daughter Jackie, son Tony, daughter-in-law Anita, her grandchildren Becky, Louise, Adam, Luke, Tom and Jake, grandson-in-law Michael, her 4 great-grandchildren Arabelle, Brandon, Alex and Saoirse, sisters-in-law Kitty and Mary, her cousin Mary, nieces, nephews, her carer Catherine Burke, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Rest in peace

Reposing at her son Tony’s home (A98 CA22) on Tuesday, 23rd December, from 5pm to 8pm. Funeral Mass on Wednesday, Christmas Eve, at 10am in St. Laurence O’Toole’s Church, Roundwood followed by burial in Roundwood Cemetery. Family flowers only please, donations in lieu, if desired, to St. Colman’s Residential Care Centre.
