Kathleen passed away peacefully in her 97th year, surrounded by her loving family and the wonderful staff of St Luke’s Hospital Kilkenny on Friday, 10th April 2026. Pre-deceased by her husband Séan, daughter Siobhhán Stapleton and son Michéal. Kathleen will be deeply missed by her sons – Pádraig and Dara, Daughters – Máire O’Halloran, Aisling Uí Mhaonaigh, sons-in-law – Aidan O’Halloran, Joe Meaney and Peter Stapleton, daughters-in-law – Úna Farrell and Linda Roe, sister Ann Murphy, sister-in-law Mary Brannigan, grandchildren: Dearbháil, Shane, Killian, Áilise, Oisín, Fionn, Vonnie, Cian, Evanne, Tiernan, Niall, Deirdre, Ciara, Gráinne, Sinéad, Niamh, Caoimhe, Oscar, Bríon, Éabha, Muirne and her 15 great-grandchildren. nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews extended family and friends.

May Kathleen Rest in Peace.

Reposing at her residence R95 X033 from 3pm to 6.30pm on Monday, 13th April with removal at 7pm to St Kieran's Church, Tullaherin, Co Kilkenny R95 X970 Requiem Mass at 11am on Tuesday, 14th April followed by interment in the adjoining cemetery.
