Kathleen Mahony (née Kelly) (Mc Auley Place and formerly of Wolfe Tone Street, Kilkenny City) died peacefully on 27th September 2025 surrounded by her loving family in the excellent care of all the staff in Archersrath Nursing Home, Kilkenny City, predeceased by her husband Paddy, son-in-law Tommy Phelan and brothers and sisters. Deeply loved and missed by her Son Alan, daughters Linda (Roberts), Claire (Phelan), Angela Mahony (O Donoghue), Siobhan and her Partner Thierry Millet and Patricia. Sons-in-law Paul Roberts, Richard O Donoghue, her brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, her adored (8) grandchildren, (4) great grandchildren, sisters Teresa and Liz, nieces and nephews, extended family, neighbours and a wide circle of friends.

MAY KATHLEEN REST IN PEACE

Kathleen will repose in Shasby’s Funeral Home Kilkenny city on Monday 29th September 2025 from 5pm to 7pm with rosary and vigil prayers at 6.30pm. Requiem Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday (30th) at 10.30am in St. John’s Church followed by burial in St. Kieran’s Cemetery.

The Requiem Mass will be live streamed from St. John’s Church Webcam.

Kathleen’s Family would like to extend their sincere thanks to G.P Dr. Mark McGuane, Patrick Street, Medical Centre and all the Staff in Archersrath Nursing Home for all their help and support given to Kathleen and her family during her stay there.
