Kathleen Neary

The death has occurred peacefully in her sleep, on 30th August 2023, surrounded by her family of Kathleen Neary (née Corley), Magherafadda, Ballyheane, Castlebar and formerly of Aughadrina, Castlebar in her 97th year.

 

Predeceased by her husband James and grandchildren Eric, Lee and Gerard and her daughter-in-law Geraldine and her brothers Mick and John, her sisters Peggy Campbell, Bridie Scriney and Mary Durcan and her parents Michael and Bridget Corley.

 

She will be sadly missed by her loving family, her sons Sean, Martin, Seamus, Tommy and Peter, her grandchildren Serena, Karen, Sarah, James, Barry, Laura, Aaron and Zara ; her great- grandchildren Byron, Kyle, Ayla, Emily, Owen, Sean and Lily; daughters-in-law Martina, Jenny and Caroline; nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and many friends.

 

May she rest in peace.

 

Kathleen loved baking and gardening and in particular growing her own fruit and vegetables. She enjoyed meeting her friends at the local bingo and loved bringing her grandchildren to the big bingo games. She always had a great fondness for all animals. her grandchildren and great- grandchildren brought her the greatest joy and happiness.

 

 

Kathleen will repose at her home in Magherafadda, Ballyheane on Friday 1st September from 5.00pm to 7.00pm. The funeral will arrive at St. Patrick’s Church, Ballyheane on Saturday morning for Funeral Mass at 12 noon. Afterwards Kathleen will be laid to rest in the adjoining cemetery.
