Kathleen O'Brien
(née Nason)
It is with deep sadness we announce the death of Kathleen (Ka) O’Brien, Mayfield, Cork, who passed away on the 27th of January 2026, peacefully surrounded by her loving family, in the exceptional care of the staff at Blairs Hill Nursing Home. Kathleen (née Nason), Late of Clarks Road Ballypehane and Mayfield, Cork City. Dearly beloved wife of the late Paddy. Adored mother John, Linda, Tim, and Patrick. Predeceased by her sister Sheila and brothers Tim and Mossy.
Sadly missed by her loving family, grandchildren Kim, Lydia, John-Paul, Alex, Casey, Kerry, Theresa, Kelly and Alanna who was her rock, caregiver and best friend. Great grandchildren Johnathan, Bríelle, Larosa, Kendall, daughters-in-law Philomena, Siobhan, Catherina, sisters Susan, Christine, Margaret and brother Michael, brothers-in-law, William, Seanie, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, extended family, neighbours and a large circle of friends.
May Ka’s gentle soul Rest in Peace
Reposing at Keohane’s Funeral Home, Knights Hill, Old Youghal Road, Mayfield, Cork, on Wednesday, the 28th January from 5-6pm, with prayers at 5:45pm.
Requiem Mass on Thursday, the 29th January at 11:00am in The Church of Our Lady Crowned, Mayfield, followed by burial in St. Catherine’s Cemetery, Kilcully.
