Kathleen Whelan
(née Shanahan)
Kathleen Whelan (Née Shanahan), Kilnagrange, Kilmacthomas, Co. Waterford and formerly of Bridgetown, Clonea Power, Co. Waterford. Kathleen passed away peacefully in the wonderful care of the staff at Dungarvan Community Hospital on Friday, 28th February 2025 with her loving family by her side.
Kathleen is predeceased by her husband John, sisters Margaret, Mary & Josephine, brothers Tommy, Paddy, John & Eddie. Kathleen will be sadly missed by her son Tom, daughter Catherine, son-in-law Joe, grandchildren Gary, Aisling, Vicky, Karen, Joyce and Noelle, and all her great grandchildren, her sisters Ann, Philomena, & Eileen, her brothers Micheal & Jim, her extended family, neighbours and friends.

Reposing at Dungarvan Community Hospital Chapel (Eircode X35 TE29) from 6p.m to 8p.m with prayers at 8p.m on Saturday 1st March 2025. Funeral Mass on Monday 3rd March at 11am in St. Anne’s Church, Fews (Eircode X42 TD39). Burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.
House private on Sunday 2nd March please.
Kathleen’s Family would like to thank the wonderful staff at Waterford University Hospital, and Dungarvan Community Hospital for the fantastic care shown to her over the past number of weeks.
