The death has occurred of
Kathy Hourihane
(née Coughlan)
On February 19th, 2026, peacefully in her 90th year, surrounded by her loving family at Bantry General Hospital, KATHY beloved wife of the late Joe, much-loved mother of Denis, Anne-Marie, Margaret, Catherine, the late Timothy and Nuala, dear sister of Peggy, Paddy, Ted, the late Michael and John. Sadly missed by her loving family, daughter-in-law Jo, sons-in-law Anthony, Lee and Kevin, her much loved grandchildren Joseph (godson), Jack and Luke, Caoimhe, Cian and Ellen, Alex and Hannah and Eliot, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives, kind neighbours and a wide circle of friends.
May she rest in peace.
Kathy’s family would like to thank all the staff at West Cork Palliative Care and Bantry General Hospital for the wonderful care and kindness shown to their mother, it is very much appreciated.
Reposing at Coakley’s Funeral Home, Chapel St, Bantry, P75 YW58 on Sunday Feb. 22nd from 3,30pm to 5pm with vigil prayers at 5pm. Requiem Mass at Star of the Sea Church, Kilcrohane on Monday Feb. 23rd at 3pm (to view live stream please click here) followed by burial in Kilcrohane Cemetery. Family flowers only, Donations in lieu if desired to the Friends of Bantry General Hospital.
