Katie (Catherine) DOYLE

The death has occurred of Katie (Catherine) DOYLE, (York Street, Dublin) 31st May 2024. Katie passed peacefully surrounded by her family. Loving mother of Sarah and Zach, Mother-in-law to Dave. Much loved Nanny to Jude and Anais. Older sister to Rachel, Gabrielle, Jane, Maggie, Joan, James, Gerard, Martin, Tony, Alex, Dermot, Eddie and Robert and beloved auntie to all her nephews and nieces.

Reposing at Fanagans Funeral Home, Aungier Street on Saturday June 1st and again at the family home on York Street on Sunday June 2nd and Monday 3rd (prior to her Funeral Service), all welcome. A Humanist Funeral Service will take place in The Victorian Chapel on Monday June 3rd at 4.00 pm and may be viewed on https://www.mountjerome.ie/victorian-chapel-service/. In lieu of flowers, the family ask that you make a donation to Harold's Cross Hospice https://olh.ie/donate/.

 

The family would also like to thank all the staff of Bellvilla Community Unit for their dedication and care to Katie over the past six years.

 

Katie's smile and laugh would light up a room. She loved music, she loved to dance, she had style, she had grace, she was a lady. Katie was a Buddhist and there is a quotation by the Dalai Lama that says "The more you are motivated by love, the more fearless and free your action will be" and this describes Katie perfectly. She loved her kids and family fiercely, she was fearless and now she is free.

 

She’s mad but she’s magic. There’s no lie in her fire.
