SHORTEN (Bealad, Clonakilty): On October 7th 2025, unexpectedly, at St. Matthew’s, Westminster, London. KEELAN George John Shorten, adored son of Karl and Sylvia, special brother of Lorelle, dearly loved grandson of Betty and the late George Kingston, Jack and Gladys Shorten.
Keelan will be forever loved and sadly missed by his heartbroken parents, sister, grandmother, uncles, aunts, godparents, cousins, exceptional friends, work colleagues at St. Matthew’s, extended family, neighbours and friends at both sides of the Irish Sea.
Reposing at his home, Bealad, Clonakilty (P85 NW24) on Friday, October 24th 2025 from 3pm to 6pm. Funeral Service on Saturday, October 25th 2025 at 1.30pm in Castleventry Church, (P85X634) with family being in attendance from 12 noon. This will be livestreamed here. Burial afterwards in the adjoining Cemetery.

Family flowers only, donations in lieu, if desired to The Bishop’s Appeal World Aid and Development Programme and/or Epilepsy Ireland.
A shuttle bus service will operate from Lisavaird Co-Op to Castleventry Church from 12 noon.
A Memorial Service will be held in St. Matthew’s, Westminster on Thursday, November 6th 2025 at 6.30pm. this will be livestreamed here.
