Kenneth (Ken) Metcalfe

Kenneth (Ken) Metcalfe, Derryguile, Mountmellick, Co.Laois. 25th September 2025 passed peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family, after a long illness bravely and courageously borne.

Deeply regretted by his heartbroken wife Betty, loving children Zara, Gayle and Wayne, daughter-in-law Aoife and son-in-law Keith, adored grandchildren Darcey, Fiadh and Kenna. Predeceased by his beloved brother Ivan, sadly missed by his brother Sandy, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, extended family, friends and neighbours.

Our grateful thanks to the staff of St James' Oncology Department and the Midlands Regional Hospital Portlaoise, Eilish (Palliative Care), Madeleine (Community Nurse) and Aoife (Podiatrist) for their tender care of Ken.

Funeral Service at St. Paul's Church, Mountmellick (R32 FC80) at 2 PM on Saturday 27th of September, with burial afterwards in adjoining cemetery.
